Riders gathered, signed waivers, got their wrist bands, heard from parade organizers Chuck Swanson and Rick Mott about the rules and the route, got final instructions from Harry Taylor, jockeyed for positions, snarled (nicely!) about stubborn engines, and finally streamed out from the park onto Main Street and back. Some riders thought that Marc Calvert's police car siren and the parade marshalls Ed Chesnut and Harry Taylor jumped the start time so they really had to hustle to get rolling and catch up ... the outgoing laggards meeting the main body of parade as it returned!
Overall 90 - 95 bikes participated, as confirmed by three independent counters.
