Harry Taylor spearheaded the motorcross seminar while Ed Chesnut led the service school on building competitive cross country machine. Ed and Jay Lael also gave an observed trials practice seminar.
In the evening, in a filmed session at the Swanson's, Paul Stannard interviewed former PABATCO employees Chuck Swanson, Ed Chesnut, and Harry Taylor, while Dyann Swanson served up ice cream sundaes. Revealed was the early transition from Yamaguchi bike distribution into design and development of first Hodakas. Also discussed was the shipment of 250 bikes to Nigeria as police vehicles and the naming of the Super Rat. A good deal of territory got covered, much of which will be disseminated in time via film and articles. Australian Ken Smith of VMX Magazine will likely be writing up some of it, and film from Peter Starr and cohorts is likely to be forthcoming.
