FIELD MEET GAMES WINNERS
  • 2x4 plank race: Jim Pomeroy, 9.90 seconds
  • bottle race: Jubal Brown, 47.94 seconds
  • spoon race: Jay Lael (rider) and Jubal Brown (passenger), 40.13 seconds
  • slow race: Jay Lael, 2 minutes 50.9 seconds




OBSERVED TRIALS WINNERS
EXPERT CLASS
  • 1st: Jay Lael (4 penalty points overall; 6 clean runs)
  • 2nd: Kenny Olson (19 penalty points overall; 2 clean runs)
INTERMEDIATE CLASS
  • 1st: Jubal Brown (5 penalty points; 8 clean runs)
  • 2nd: Ed Chesnut (11 penalty points; 4 clean runs)
  • 3rd: Mike Falcioni (14 penalty points; 6 clean runs)
NOVICE CLASS
  • 1st: Danny Messmore (3 penalty points; 9 clean runs)
  • 2nd: Dave Rozier (5 penalty points; 5 clean runs)
  • 3rd: Ted Hazel (10 penalty points; 6 clean runs)

Winner 'mug shots' shown above were taken by Kit Vercella. Trials organizers were Ed Chesnut, Jay Lael, and Pete Fisher. Ten other volunteers acted as observers on the various segments of the course.

Jay Lael's comment of the day before was that the course was tougher than many seen at AHRMA events. Ed Chesnut noted that this trials course was at least as tough as most for modern bikes, yet all the bikes running here were vintage!

At 71 years, Leland Loper was the oldest running the course, with 30 penalty points and 2 clean runs. Please note that more trials photos and additional comments will be posted here as available over next month ... so check back!
